Autumn Care of Drexel is a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in the beautiful foothills of Western North Carolina. Drexel is a small community between Morganton and Hickory. This was the sixth facility in the Autumn Care family.

The reputation is consistently one of friendly caring staff and a warm home-like atmosphere providing quality nursing and rehabilitation services. The staff is recognized for longevity, professionalism, caring attitude, and loyalty. Honors for the staff include 2 Corporate Employees of the Year, 5 Certified Nursing Assistants of the Year, and 12 Fabulous Fifty Recipients.

We believe that a nursing facility should be an extension of the community. The staff and residents actively participate in community organizations and projects to improve the quality of life for everyone. The facility has received countless awards for their community involvement. Some of the awards include Channels 9’s None Who Care Award, 6 NCHCFA commendations, 2 Governor’s awards, 2 Morganton News Herald “Best in Burke” selections, and many other community involvement commendations.

The theme for this facility is “Those Who Know Us, Choose Us.” People recognize ACD as the facility of choice and new admission credit reputation and previous positive experience as the reason they chose Drexel. The staff takes tremendous pride in their reputation. “Service Above Self” is not just Autumn’s motto; it is a way of life.
