Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove is a 110-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located conveniently to the area beaches as well as downtown Wilmington. We are within close proximity to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital.

Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove provides 24-hour skilled nursing, intermediate, wound, palliative, and respite care. Our licensed and certified rehabilitation staff provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. These services are available to both short-term and long-term residents. Therapy services are provided 6 days per week and are customized to fit each individual’s needs.

Certified for Medicare and Medicaid, we also accept various insurances and private pay residents. A social worker is on staff to answer questions regarding eligibility for these programs.

Upon entering our building, one is immediately drawn to the light and airy beach motif. This environment helps to encourage residents to move about the building and join in the numerous activities. Residents may choose the TV room, which is a wonderful place to gather to watch a special program with family and friends or to just catch up on the current news. A parlor is available as a quiet room where residents can go to read, or just visit quietly with loved ones. Some residents choose to visit in the front lobby where they are able to greet visitors as they first arrive. We also offer four beautifully landscaped courtyards for the residents that enjoy getting outdoors. One courtyard features a “prayer garden” where residents and families can go to meditate and listen to the soothing sounds of the garden fountain.

An array of activities is provided by our full-time activities director and her assistant. These include group activities such as BINGO, arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, and monthly birthday parties. One-on-one activities that are also provided for residents include music therapy, pet therapy, as well as card and board games. Church services are held weekly as well as devotional studies and gospel music.

For our residents that enjoy a little pampering, we offer beauty shop services where they may get their hair styled as usual, or come up with something totally new and exciting. Manicures are also provided by volunteers.

For their dining pleasure, residents have the choice of having meals in their rooms or in the dining room. Having meals in the dining room allows residents the opportunity to socialize with others. A self-player piano provides soft background music for entertainment during mealtimes. Specialized diets are available as needed. Nurses and certified nursing assistants are available to residents that need assistance with meals.
