The Mission of Carrington Place is to be a community facility; A MATTHEWS NURSING HOME, providing resident and family services with compassion and quality. The facility by design enhances the quality of life for each person residing at Carrington Place. Carrington Place is about people. It is designed around the resident's needs and with those needs as the focal point of all interior and exterior planning. The goal is to provide health care in a home like environment with individually color coordinated rooms and with all rooms having a picture book landscape view from the window.
To create a home like environment Carrington Place is divided into five different units and each unit has its own dinning, living and recreational areas. Short corridors and living units within larger units and to the "I'm home" feeling. Skylights and large windows bring in natural light and sunshine. Gardens in both interior court yards and around the facility provide natural beauty for the residents to enjoy.

Under the direction of each patient's personal physician, team members contribute special knowledge and skills to design an individual plan of care for each resident. The goal of Carrington Place is to return each patient to his or her highest level of function. Individual programs are tailored to include goals to ensure that appropriate functional skills can be identified, learned and reinforced.
Our facility provides a variety of programs with the highest standard of quality, meeting all federal and state regulations.
SKILLED NURSING
The 46-bed Skilled Nursing unit will provide care and service for residents requiring around the clock nursing and/ or intensive rehabilitative services.
INTERMEDIATE CARE
The 20-bed Intermediate Care unit provides service for residents who are medically stable but still require assistance with their activities of daily living.
ALZHEIMER UNIT
The 40-bed Alzheimer unit is designed and programed to provide the best and most currently accepted standards of care for the Alzheimer and related dementia victims. The unit is safe and secure unit with specially trained staff and social programs to meet the needs of the Alzheimer resident.
YOUTH UNIT
This 20-bed unit provides intensive nursing care for the medically and physically disabled person over the age of 18. Specialized activities and programs will be specifically designed for the young adult resident.
REHAB/SUBACUTE CARE
This 40-bed unit provides intensive nursing care and rehabilitative services. The goal of the Rehab/Subacute Unit is to return the resident to their highest level of function so they may return to their own homes whenever possible
HOME FOR THE AGED
This 10-bed unit provides assisted living to residents needing only minimal assistance with activities of daily living.
