Nestled in the scenic mountains of Western North Carolina, Highland Farms Retirement Community encompasses 50 landscaped acres in beautiful Black Mountain, NC, 15 miles east of Asheville. As a licensed and locally-owned continuing care retirement community (CCRC), it has been providing an environment where residents can pursue the many enjoyable aspects of retirement living for over 35 years.

Health Care Services
Highland Farms is committed to providing a continuum of care for you, if and when you need it. Whether your health need is temporary or permanent, we provide a variety of health services that offer the compassionate support and care you desire.
Home Care
A licensed Home Care program serves both independent residents and those who need special services in our care facilities. Homemaker / companions and nursing staff provide personalized care suited to your specific needs on a fee-for-service basis.
Assisted Living
If you or a family member, are faced with the delicate task of making the transition from home living to supervised care, Limbert Hall offers the ideal environment for these assisted living services. We provide help with your activities of daily living, but not the intense nursing care available in our skilled level.
Skilled Nursing
Our skilled nursing facility is licensed and Medicare - certified. Pets, plants, and a wide variety of activities will make you or your family member feel more at home. Physical, speech, and occupational therapies are also available.
On-site Physician
You may also choose to affiliate with our on-site, board-certified, internist/geriatrician for your medical care. She is available for office visits in our medical clinic two days a week.
The Mission Hospitals system, a regional trauma center, is located just 15 minutes from Highland Farms in nearby Asheville. Our area boasts a number of physician, specialist, and diagnostic practices that are nationally recognized.
