Located within Elms At Tanglewood is a Memory Enrichment Center designed specifically to meet the needs of our residents with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions. This Center provides quality, professional assited care in a safe, comfortable nurturing, home-like environment...where our residents may feel a sense of purpose and community. We provide a safe environment by allowing the resident freedom of movement in a safe and closely monitored secured area. This allows the resident to be free of chemical and physical restraints.

The residents of our Memory Enrichment Center can also enjoy the benefits of exercise and fresh air in a secure patio area designed for their use. This provides them supervised independence while enhancing their quality of life in the quiet familiarity of nature.

Our activity program, administrated by a full-time Life Enrichment Directory, focuses on each individual's needs, remaining flexible while maintaining a structured environment. This enables the resident to perform at his or her optimal level. They also have the opportunity to attend functions outside of the Center.

Services offered in the Memory Enrichment Center include:

* Medication management
* Trained certified nursing assistants to meet all their care needs
* Nutritional meals including snacks available 24 hours a day
* Assistance with bathing, feeding, dressing, grooming and toileting

We always encourage the resident to be as independent as possible, helping them maintain their dignity. By providing individualized care we enhance the resident's health and their cognitive ability.
