Mountain Trace Nursing Center is an attractive, 106-bed nursing facility located in the picturesque town of Webster, seven miles from Harris Regional Hospital. It provides rooms for long-term skilled nursing care, intermediate care, and subacute rehabilitation care.

Registered nurses comprise a large percentage of the licensed staff. In addition to nursing care, Mountain Trace offers residents physical, occupational and speech therapy, therapeutic recreation, a chaplaincy, social service program and dietary services. Two atriums and an outdoor gazebo with gardens create a warm and relaxing setting.

The twenty-six bed, Alzheimer's Dementia Care Unit allows access to an appropriate environment with care and treatment specifically designed for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. Specially trained staff focus on maintaining the resident's dignity and self-respect, communication with the resident's family members, and reduction of stress on resident and caregiver. It provides a comfortable, safe, and therapeutic environment to support the resident's remaining abilities, minimize failures, and encourage pleasure. This unit's philosophy is to encourage family visitations and support group opportunities that strive to involve the family members in meaningful caregiver roles.
