Levels of Care

Residence at Snug Harbor spans all three levels of care: independent living, assisted living, and highly skilled nursing care. Residents at Snug Harbor take comfort in knowing that our services adapt to their personal needs of aging. All levels can be accommodated under the same roof. Snug Harbor offers the flexibility of short-term and respite stays in all three levels of care. And our skilled nursing wing has 12 Medicare-certified beds for individuals who qualify for a rehabilitative or skilled nursing stay upon discharge from a hospital.

A staff of expert health care providers is available to assist resident 24 hours a day. A doctor is on site two days of the week. If a specialist or other outside physician is needed, the nursing staff of Snug Harbor will assist you in setting the appointment and arranging any necessary transportation.

Also at Snug Harbor, a contract physical therapist, speech therapist, and occupational therapist work with patients in Snug Harbor's expansive gymnasium, and an ophthalmologist visits to conduct eye examinations. Restorative nursing is also available.

Our facility is HIPAA compliant. Staff is trained on the importance of confidentiality and accountability. Snug Harbor is a Medicare-certified facility.
