Well•Spring is located in Northwest Greensboro near the intersection of Battleground Avenue (220) and Drawbridge Parkway.
Well•Spring Healthcare offers some of the most outstanding senior resources in the country to meet the needs of our residents.
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community and in dedication to the Community’s Mission Statement, Well•Spring features services at all levels of care and provides its residents with the finest in quality healthcare services.
The Well•Spring Healthcare Center offers three well appointed venues for the healthcare needs of its residents. They include the Frank Reid Brown Clinic, The John W. Red Jr. Center for Assisted Living and the Skilled Care Center which provides skilled care nursing services and has a specialized Memory Care area. In addition, the residents can be assured of short-term respite and rehabilitative care within the Healthcare Center.
One of the primary objectives of the Well•Spring Healthcare Center professional staff is assisting residents to maintain an active and independent lifestyle. Whatever the residents’ goals and prognosis, it is the job of the staff to assist the resident to meet their fullest potential. Well•Spring’s healthcare services are centered on empowering the residents and their families to assist in achieving their goals. Care Planning, Residents Council, and Family Nights are all opportunities for resident and family to have input and self-determination.
The Frank Reid Brown Clinic offers the residents of Well•Spring dental, podiatry, massage therapy, vision, auditory and mental health services. Speech, occupational and physical therapy are also available. The Clinic is staffed with a full time registered nurse who provides screening, assessment and health maintenance services. In addition, the Clinic Nurse responds to emergencies on campus. Piedmont Senior Care offers access to physician services through clinic hours on-site at Well•Spring. These combined services – available at all levels of care within the retirement community – offer tremendous convenience to our residents.
Respite and Rehabilitative Care provides residents with recuperative stays with the goal of returning to their independent living settings. These stays last for whatever recuperative time is necessary or until a determination is made regarding the resident’s condition. Sometimes the resident requires services on a long-term basis and then they remain in the Health Care Center permanently.
The John W. Red Jr. Center for Assisted Living consists of 61 private one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment is comprised of a living room, bedroom, private bath, and kitchenette. Health maintenance and supportive services are provided in a comfortable residential setting for people who need assistance in managing aspects of daily living but do not need skilled nursing care. These apartments are unfurnished providing the opportunity for a completely home-like setting. Two respite care apartments are also located in assisted living.
The Skilled Care Center includes a skilled nursing care center with 40 rooms, a specialized Memory Care area with 20 rooms and a temporary transitional Rehabilitation facility with 10 rooms. All areas offer only private rooms with private baths. Residents may choose to bring personal furnishings to create a comfortable home-like setting. In all three venues, 24-hour skilled level nursing care is provided. The Memory Care unit provides structured, individualized care in an environment that is specialized to meet the needs of residents with memory impairment.
